Culture and technology have allowed anatomically modern humans to adapt beyond our biological limits.
Culture is what makes us human, and different from animals. We have developed culture over a long period of time, and even though it changed throughout the ages, it is what defines us nevertheless. And obviously technology is advancing the society to an even greater extent.
