Race in the manner of skin tone is a very touchy topic in today's society. I will try to explain it without offending anyone. There really isn't any race of a way to explain a specific race of a social construct, because all races do help society function. We have different cultures, beliefs, and overall we're different human beings. For example, of the Latino community, they have many different foods, traditions, and music that is different than other races. Like the African American community. They have their type of music (not all listen to it) hiphop which forms their community they have dubbed "the hood." It influences Today's society in many ways, not always positive.

Some people consider race a social construct because "race" can imply a different species, even though all humans are the same species.
