Jackie is going on a trip. It is 5.2 x 10 to the power of 7 miles to China. Then it is another 2 x 10 to the power of 6 miles to Korea. How many miles in total will Jackie travel ? ( I got the answer of 10.4 x 10 to the power of 13 , am I correct? )

Sadly, your answer is not correct.
You've done a beautiful job MULTIPLYING the two distances correctly.
But you really only needed to ADD them.

The sum will be 5.4 x 10^7 miles.
That's a pretty funny answer to this question, because it's about 227 TIMES the distance to the moon. But it's correct when you use the numbers the question gives you.
