Hello,

If 3x-1>=0 then

x>=1/3
|3x-1\=3x-1
2*|3x-1|=18
2*(3x-1)=18
6x-2=18
6x=20
x=10/3

else
x<1/3
|3x-1|=-(3x-1)
2*|3x-1|=18
2(-(3x-1))=18
-6x+2=18
-6x=16
x=-8/3
endif
