Thinking about the tea party that Mattie and her mother attend at the Ogilvie’s, what are the differences between Mattie and her mother and the life they have compared to the Ogilvie’s? Think about clothing they wear and how they spend their time.

When Mattie and her mother attended Ogilvie´s tea party, Mattie was " forced" to use a nice dress in order to look nice to Edward because the purpose of their invitation was for her to get a husband. While her mother talked about  the coffee house and the grog shop with the house owner, she talked about the increasing number of deaths.
