How were the Crusades and the
Reconquista similar? How were they different?

Well the Reconquiesta and the Crusades were both part of a process of reconquest. For centuries Christians had been loosing territories against the invading Arabs.

In Spain only a few people in the north managed to resist against the Muslim invasion. It is a miracle that these people managed to survive and then reconquer their ancestral country.
