Find the slope of the line going through the points (-5, 2) and (-1, 5).

slope formula is : (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
(-5,2)...x1 = -5 and y1 = 2
(-1,5)...x2 = -1 and y2 = 5
now we sub
slope = (5 - 2) / (-1 - (-5) = 3 / (-1 + 5) = 3/4 <=
