Is the United kingdom a federal system or a parliamentary system of government?

The United Kingdom operates a PARLIAMENTARY SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT.
A parliamentary system of government is one in which the ministers of the executive branch get their legitimacy from a legislature which they are accountable to. The executive branch is made up of the prime minister and the prime minister and his cabinet are members of the legislative branch which is called the parliament.
