Why might isolationism lead to ethnocentrism?

with the fact that it is relatively isolated from any other strong countries, could have helped to encourage feelings of ethnocentrism among the Chinese.

Taking into account that ethnocentrism defines the tendency to consider culture itself as the only valid criterion for interpreting or valuing the behaviors, customs, traditions or values of other groups, ethnic groups or societies, we can affirm that this is a direct cause of isolationism , since this leads to an encroachment of the nations themselves and the almost zero interaction with the international sphere.
