Semyon thought very fondly of Vasily. he considered him to be a good friend, yet there was some mystery to Vasily, in Semyon's eyes. Semyon wanted to be a good friend in return and did what he could to show his loyalty to Vasily by offering to help him right the wrong Vasily had committed.
