The correct answer is - The Vikings were known for their seamanship.

The Vikings were a group of multiple ethnic Scandinavian people that were bringing fear in the coastal parts of Europe during the Middle Ages. The Vikings were known for multiple things, as great warriors, big and strong people, fearless, ruthless, but one was the main thing was that they were great on the sea.

The Vikings were people that were constantly sailing, be it for trade, for conquering new places suitable for ports or that had riches, exploration, it was their way of life. They were so good in the open sea, that they actually managed to reach North America half a millennium before Columbus did, but from some reason they didn't shared that information.
