There will always be one stronger species that take over, which is what evolution has taught us.

I believe the answer would be D. Only one will survive.

An ecological niche can be define as the functional role an organism plays in an ecosystem so as to survive. Like, the mode of nutrition, type of habitat chosen for survival and season chosen for breeding are the examples of ecological niche.

If two species occupy the same ecological niche, the species which is more superior over the other will receive all the resources. The species which is inferior will decline and extinct according to the competitive exclusion principle. Hence, only one species will survive.
