Franklin has admitted that many people have influenced his way of thinking in many ways in the past. He also stated that he is easily influenced. This is not necessarily a bad thing, since, apparently, Franklin is was an advocate of listening to the other side and trying to learn something from it. He also defended the idea of admitting your own mistakes and learning from them.
