Helen has a $1.35 in her bank in nickels and dimes the number of nickels is 9 more than the number of Dimes how many of each coin does she have

Say number of dimes is x,
Therefore number of nickles is x+9


10x+5(x+9) = 135
10x+5x+45 = 135
15x+45 = 135
15x=90
x=6


Number of dimes is 6 and number of nickles is x+9 = 15
