perimeter = 4s
area = s^2
so if s=3 then perimeter = 12 and area=9
we cant choose 3
lets try 5 so perimeter will be = 20 and area=25 so 5 is correct and 9 also and 7 too

area of a square is s^2...where s is length of one side
perimeter of a square is 4s....where s is length of one side

4s < s^2.....subbing in 5
4(5) < 5^2
20 < 25 (correct)

so ur answer is : s = 5 (with perimeter being less then area)
