If 3 (x+1) =7 find the value of 3x

The value of 3x would be 4/3.
Distribute the 3 in the parenthesis and you get:
3x+3=7
Then subtract 1 on both sides of the equal side.
3x=4
Therefore, the value of 3x would be 4.
