Macon spends so much time with Grandpa Jeremiah because Grandpa Jeremiah had a stroke. They discover that Grandpa Jeremiah only has one to two weeks left to live after discovering he is very sick. Grandpa Jeremiah sits around and tells stories to Macon to pass the time.
