he wakes up at 7......takes a walk for 30 minutes,,,,so now it is 7:30....he spends 30 minutes bathing and eating...so it is now 8:00.....then he watched the news and left at 9:30......so the time from 8:00 to 9:30 is the time he watched the news....and that is 1 and 1/2 hours <==
