What can we learn from primary and secondary sources?

Primary sources allow you to see actual evidence from the time period whereas secondary only give you the perspective of a historian

Well primary sources are the first-hand encounter with the event, therefore you can learn the small details that may be left out on a report. Secondary sources provide an overall view of the event. It combines the stories of primary sources and gives more information by making conclusions.
