How does the disloyalty argument against whistle-blowing receive support from the law?

Whistle blowers are considered to be members of the companies they're whistle blowing on, so in effect they are committing treason against the organization they belong to. However, such a policy might discourage people from reporting injustice, so corporations can get away with a lot of what they want.
