The function of evolution of organisms is to aid in the increased chance for life to thrive and survive. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and climate change are also natural occurrences and selective factors that force species to evolve and adapt to their environment. They contribute to organisms’ adaptability through cellular and organismic adaptation because these organisms want to survive.
