It might be stated that normative standard of behaviour are part of a culture. Culture is divided into 3 categories: normative, cognitive and material. The normative standard belong to the fist category (normative). This dimension embraces  the standard for appropriate behaviour of a group or society, it has a particular emphasis on social integration, stability and consensus. The term is related to norms, sanctions and values.
