lets find out....complementary angles, when added, = 90 degrees

6x + 10 + 2x + 16 = 90...when x = 8
6(8) + 10 + 2(8) + 16 = 90
48 + 10 + 16 + 16 = 90
58 + 32 = 90
90 = 90...correct......so yes, the angles are complementary
