After you add water to the sand-salt mixture what happens when you pour it through a filter??

The water with the salt dissolved it it will go through filter and the the sand will not. So, the sand and salt will separate

I think when you mix sand, salt and water, salt will dissolve in the water and sand will not. When you about to filtrate the mixture, sand will be left in the filter paper, and the salt solution will pass through. If you wish to separate salt from water, just do evaporation.
