Compare theodore roosevelt's big-stick foreign policy to william howard taft's dollar diplomacy.

Both were interventionist on their face: both types of foreign policy advocated going into nations and bending them to our wills. However, Taft also implemented the idea of giving loans to companies based in these countries as a way of forcing out European interests that were competing with the US at the time.
