What is the connection between the development of steel and the development of railroads.

As steel become stronger (due to the Bessemmer process and the like), it is able to withstand greater weight. This leads to it being used to build railroad tracks and skyscrapers (since it is stronger, it can withstand more weight. And because it is cheaper, it is bought more)
