How did shays’ rebellion and the whiskey rebellion demonstrate the need for stronger government/reforming the articles of confederation?

They showed that because it showed how fragmented and problematic the articles of confederation were when it came to debating what falls and what doesn't fall under the domain of federal government. Later, the constitution that came instead of the articles defined everything and prevented social and financial injustices that arose from the use of the articles.
