C) Ask the critic to clarify what he or she meant.
It is always good to be clear on what someone is trying to say in order to avoid any conflict. Also, the other options are just plain rude.

Answer: C. Ask the critic to clarify what he or she meant.

It is important to listen to constructive criticism if we want to improve. Other people might have opinions that can allow us to develop our skills, and we should not react badly when they share these with us. However, accepting criticism is hard. One thing we can do to be better at accepting it is asking the critic to clarify what he meant. This might allow us to better understand his intentions.
