Problem:

Matt and Tikka thought of the same number. Matt added 7 to that number and then doubled the result. He got 26. Tikka did the same operations with their number, but in reverse order. What did she get?

So first, you would take half of 26 since Matt doubled the result giving you 13. Then, subtract 7 which is 6.

For Tikka she did the opposite so take the 6, double it making 12, and then add 7 to get 19.
