The weight that a horizontal beam can support varies as the length of the beam suppose that a 2m beam can support 410kg how many kg can a 1 m beam support

If a 1m beam supports x amount of weight, then if 1m=x we can multiply both sides by 2 to get 2m=2x=410. To find x, we simply divide all sides by 2 to get 1m=x=205
