The Federal Trade Act, which later created the Federal Trade Commission is a reform of the New Freedom that still remains to this day. This, and many of the other reforms of the new freedom were somewhat permanent and still exist. They still affect American lives today by curbing unfair trade practices of big corporations. They still help to regulate trade all this years after they were created.

The revolutionary implementations and innovations applied by the Wilson administration can be seen in their role of creating a federal tax system across various industries and sectors of society, and ensuring that business and trade does not go unregulated.
