Lawmakers deal with possible crimes and multiple more people. If i had to say what changed from 1787, it would be that slavery ended in 1865.
Unofrtunately, bad people will always find a way to do bad things no matter how much society have developed. Since now we had a lot of technological advancement, the crimes will be most likely to revolve around that very field. (such as hacking and identity theft)
