What is the equation -5-r=1+2r

r=-2 because you can add the 5 to the one and that cancels out the -5 on the left, now your equation is -r=6+2r so you can subtract the 2r from both sides and that leaves you with -3r=6 all there is to do now is divide by -3 on both sides

-r=1+2r+5


-r=2r+6


-r-2r=6


-3r=6
