The length of a rectangle is 4 m longer than its width. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 28 m, findustry the area

Perimiter is where you add all the sides and a rectangle has four sides.
28/4=7
But the length is 4m longer then the width so, 7+4=11 but if we do 11+11+7+7= 36. But that is not the perimeter so 7-4=3
And if we do 11+11+3+3=28!
Therefore the length of the rectangle is 11m and the width is 3m
To find the area we just do 11•3=33

The only reason this is long is because i explained and put it into detail but its pretty simple and short once you get the hang of it :)
