Y=x+5 find the slope of a line perpendicular to each given line

y = x + 5....the slope here is 1. A perpendicular line will have a negative reciprocal slope. So the negative reciprocal of 1 (or 1/1) can be found by flipping the slope and changing the sign...so basically, ur perpendicular line will have a slope of -1
