in most scientific movies, the conflict usually revolves around overcoming obstacles that the characters never faced before.
Science fiction usually involves around technologies that do not exist in our current world, and the characters had to face a lot of challenges because either the inferiority of technological capabilities or lack of understanding in the new technologies
