This term refers to the first two decades in the history of the colony of Georgia, mainly because an appointed board of men ran and governed the colony.

The term referring to an appointed board of men that ran and governed a colony is Trustee.

The Boards of Trustees that governed the colony of Georgia for its first 20 years was managed by James Oglethorpe, who was the man assigned by King George II to do this job.
