There are an estimated 11,025 trees of species A in an area of 3,150 hectares. What is the population density of the tree species? The population density of the trees is per hectare.

To find the number of trees per hectare, simply divide the two figures together. 11,025 (the number of trees) divided by 3,150 (the number of overall hectares in the plot of land) gives a value of 3.5 trees per hectare.
