How do scientists deal with ethics in their job?

Many times, there are boards of ethics constructed for the very purpose of making sure ethical issues are followed to the best of their ability and that the science is as neutral as possible. When ethical issues do arise, the boards and groups do whatever is necessary to make sure that the researchers make the appropriate adjustments or make these ethical situations known to the research subjects.
