Calvinism began when people were tired of the way the Catholic religion was behaving in those years in Europe. People had to pay big amounts of money to the Catholic religion even though they were poor, and then they would build very ostentatious cathedrals while most people could not eat 3 meals a day. When Calvin began to protest Catholic religion, people were ready for another one.
