Ursuline order:

This was an application of postulants that achieved tremendous fame for the literacy of women. The patron Angela Merici founded the first women’s spiritual order focusing particularly on educating youthful teenagers, with the aim of the re-Christianizing community by guiding future housewives and moms.

Society of Jesus:

They were known as Jesuits and their principal aim was to expand the Roman Catholic religion and to “help people.” They gained victory for the popedom and the reborn Catholic by teaching the boys of royalty as well as the poor, and also exercised prominent political control.

The Ursuline order and Society of Jesus had their goals and practices grounded in the idea of re-implementing an ideal of christianity on mothers and wives in the area, as a means of further spreading the faith, and more importantly strengthening the foundational stronghold in the given region.
