How would you solve

4r to the negative third multiplied by 2r to the second power

I got 8r to the -1st power, but my teacher says we cant have negative exponents??

4r^-3 * 2r^2 =

4*(2r^(-3+2))

= 4*2r^-1

= 4*2(1/r)

= 4*(2/r)

=8/r
