-8=1(x+4) what is this I need help!

1. -8=1(x+4)
2. -8=x+4 because when you multiply the things in parentheses by one it stays the same, 1 times x = 1x or just x and 1x4= 4
3. -8-4=x because you need to get x by itself so you move the positive 4 to the opposite side which makes it negative
4. -12=x because -8 + -4 = -12 which is x :)
