Despite a lot of scientific evidence and many theories why does the origin of the universe remain a question to scientists? I believe that given the data available on research, and also the option choices in the question, the three best choices to answer the question: Despite a lot of scientific evidence and many theories, why does the origin of the universe remains a question to scientists?, would be:

1. Because there is not enough evidence to prove any ONE theory, to the detriment of the others. This first option shows that although a lot of evidence has been gathered on the origins of the universe, and most points towards the Big Bang Theory as the most possible cause, there is still evidence that points to other likely theories. So not all evidence points to just one theory to prove it beyond a doubt.

2. Because there are many competing theories that explain the evidence, and none are absolutely conclusive and definitive. Just like in the first option, there are a lots of theories that have been born from the evidence that has been gathered, and most favors the Big Bang Theory, but not to the point of excluding other theories.
