Hello,
Using Thalès,
AE/ED=AB/DC
(2x+4)/(x+4)=9/6
(2x+4)/(x+4)=3/2
(2x+4)*2=(x+4)*3
4x+8=3x+12
x=4
==>x+4=ED=4+4=8

9/2x+4 = 6/x+4
9x+36 = 12x+24
3x=12
x = 4
4+4 = 8
ED = 8
