The thalamus is a relay station in the brain handling information about the senses. The thalamus is structure found in the human brain that connects the cerebral cortex with other parts of the brain. The cerebral cortex is repsonible for sensory perception and movement, so the thalamus forwards these information to the other parts of the brain.
