The periodic table houses noble gas elements in group 18. These elements are highly stable and rarely react with any other elements. What is one possible reason for the stability of the noble gas elements?

The valence shell of the noble gases are complete and therefore do not require more electrons to fill them in. That is what allows them to be stable and non-reactive to any other element.
