When doing Scientific Notation you move the decimal in between the first two real numbers. In this case between 1 and three. Then you count the number of zeros in this case it -2. the answer is 1.325x10^-2

To express 0.01325 in scientific notation we must first move the decimal two places to the right. When we do this, we add a term to the end of the number of 10^x where x is the number of decimal places we moved. If we move the decimal left it is a positive number and if we move it right it is a negative number. Since we moved it right two places, our number becomes 1.325 x 10^-2. This would also be the final answer since we started off with 4 significant figures (leading zeros do not count as significant) and finish with four in 1.325. Final answer is 1.325 x 10^-2.
