Pride. An individual must understand cultural values to recognize the emotion of pride. Without social awareness pride cannot be developmentally understood. Pride is an emotion dependent on a persons understanding of cultural values. In addition to pride, guilt, shame, and embarrassment are also dependent on the evolution of social awareness.
