After excavating the sites of the early human, anthropologists learned about the Homo habilis, who might have been the first to make stone tools. The stone tools are called Oldowan tools. Homo habilis fashioned the stone by making it sharp edges in use to cutting and slicing the meat and skin. They also used stone as a chopper, scraping and sawing plants, wood and animals.
